The whole story

We help brands stop whispering and start saying something.

We're a two-person studio for founders who've outgrown the DIY chapter and are ready to be taken seriously by the people they actually want to work with. Two sets of eyes, one strategic point of view.

Meet the duo

Two perspectives. One studio.

Branding · Editorial · Creative Direction

I'm Amber Smith, founder and creative director of chantalaesthetic.com. For over a decade, I've helped businesses transform their ideas into elevated, intentional brands that feel as professional as the work behind them. What started as a passion for design grew into a creative studio built around storytelling, strategy, and visuals that leave a lasting impression.

I specialize in branding, editorial design, websites, and creative direction for businesses ready to move beyond generic templates and outdated visuals. My approach blends artistry with strategy — bold typography, moody aesthetics, and thoughtful design systems that help brands stand out in a crowded space.

To me, design is more than making things "look nice." It's about creating an experience. Every color, font, layout, and detail should communicate something meaningful about your business and the people behind it.

Today, The Chantal Aesthetic has evolved into a collaborative creative studio, pairing design with custom illustration and technical expertise to bring ideas to life from concept to execution. Together, we help businesses build brands that feel cohesive, refined, and unforgettable.

Because your business deserves more than a rushed logo and a DIY website. It deserves a brand that feels like you — elevated.

Kendrick, graphic artist and illustrator at The Chantal AestheticCustom Illustrator · Technical Specialist

Meet Kendrick

Kendrick combines illustration, design, and technical expertise to help bring creative ideas to life. From custom artwork to behind-the-scenes implementation, he helps transform concepts into polished, functional experiences.

Amber and Kendrick have been friends and creative collaborators for years. That partnership is what makes the studio work — illustration and design on one side, technical craft on the other, both pointed at the same outcome for every client.

Whether he's creating custom illustrations, refining visual concepts, or handling the technical side of a build, the goal stays the same: make your vision real, and make it look as good as the business behind it.

What we actually do

We're extra — in all the right ways.

We obsess over the details most people scroll past. Kerning, line height, the exact weight of a serif, the way a font can carry your whole personality before anyone reads a word of your copy. We believe a great typeface is a sentence on its own — and your brand deserves one that actually says what you mean.

We use design as a lens. Our job is to help you zoom in, cut the noise, and show the world who you really are — not the version your DIY logo has been suggesting for the last three years. We dig into what makes you different, what your people actually want to feel, and then we build a visual identity that matches the level you're operating at (or about to).

Why you need to level up (yes, you)

Your branding is the first conversation you have with every potential client. If it looks rushed, generic, or trend-chasing, you've already lost the room — before you've said a word about how good you actually are.

Premium clients don't price-shop. They pattern-match. They scan your site, your logo, your colors, your photography — and within seconds they've decided whether you belong in the conversation or not. That's not shallow, that's human. And it's exactly the thing strategic design fixes.

A real brand identity earns trust before you ever get on a call. It lets you charge what you're worth without flinching. It attracts the right people and (just as importantly) repels the wrong ones. It makes marketing easier, sales shorter, and Mondays less weird.

Why trust us with it

  • A decade-plus in practice — not a side hustle, not a "we just downloaded Canva" moment.
  • Strategy first, pretty second. Every choice — type, color, layout — is doing a job. Nothing is decorative for the sake of it.
  • Direct, honest feedback from two designers, not one. That's the part you're actually paying for.

If you're ready to be seen the way you deserve to be seen — let's go.
